About

WHY CONSULTATION THAT IS
FOCUSED ON WELL-BEING? ...

For the sake of those we serve, for our teams, and for ourselves, we lift up human wellbeing as our first priority. How are we developing our teams so that wellbeing is goal one? How are we supporting individuals so that they  are valued as human beings with whole lives? So whether we are designing programming and writing grants to meet a stated need, identifying or assessing the need, or jumping in to support your previously identified need, without wellbeing of our team as the top priority, we will continue to have high rates of attrition, loss of historical knowledge, wasted resources in training new staff, and the damages to the all-important relationships and workplace culture. All these impact the bottom line, whether we're talking about revenue, outcomes, or, more importantly, lived experiences of happiness and wellbeing.

... AND HOW DID WE GET HERE?

We've been there. We've done the hard work. We've experienced the exhaustion and the soul fatigue in pursuit of a noble calling. And we think there is another way. When you call on us to assist, we start with grounding in your own well-being. It's part of the coaching and support you get with any of our technical approaches:

  • national and international consultation and collaboration

  • practical experience in mental health in education

  • 30 years in non-profits and education, working with systems of whole child support and developing staff

  • extensive work with - and commitment to - diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • academic training exploring unique systems and qualitative evaluation with a focus on story/narrative

  • creation, delivery, and evaluation of programs, training workshops, retreats that are interactive, engaging, effective, and fun

  • consultation to senior leadership teams on high profile and sensitive topics

  • communications: writing, editing, strategy

"Happiness, contentment, and wellness happen now, not at some point in the future - as in "the pursuit of happiness." Today's team members are looking for work place environments that recognize the many ways they are human. Balance, not as an elusive someday concept, but as practical realities in their lives."
